IES, Inc. performs a 100%
inspection on all assemblies.
Most contract
manufacturers utilize 1% and 5% AQL samples, and reject lots if
defects are found. This means that 80%-90% of their circuit boards
are shipped without inspection. IES, Inc. feels this exposes
customers to field failures, thus IES, Inc. does not use sampling to
gauge the quality of its product.
IES, Inc. utilizes only the IPC-A-610D
document for solder joint criteria.
Our Quality Inspectors are professionally trained to IPC
Class III standards. There
are three classes to the IPC-A-610D. The class II standard is
recognized for commercial and industrial applications while the
class III is recognized for medical and military applications.
Assemblies shipped out of IES, Inc. meet or
exceed class III standards.
